ㅤ5ㅤㅤi focus primarily on kaz during his mgsv era and onward. though his younger self will sometimes be alluded to / spoken about and maybe even written, i'd rather explore his character from mgsv onward. as for volgin, i focus largely on his mgs3/v self. though he's technically 'comatose / dead' in mgsv, i write him as having thoughts and feelings whilst he's the 'man on fire'. as you can tell, this blog began as an mgs blog - krauser, i will write during any timeline.

ㅤ10ㅤㅤa final addition re threads ; i am diagnosed with migraines and unfortunately can't handle heavily formatted text. i would prefer text be simplified ( it can be small or normal ) but heavy use of colouring and space does effect my eyes. i'd prefer text unformatted or small - if this can't be changed, i understand. if you can - bless you. also, regarding threads - my way of writing is to merge character responses and dialogue. i can't write opposite characters who respond separately to each and every line of dialogue as i don't feel it's natural. please keep this in mind when writing with me, my character usually will merge their thoughts / dialogue to whatever was the last thing said by your character.
final note - DO NOT BLOCK EVADE OR PRETEND TO BE DIFFERENT PEOPLE WITH ME. i'm not a fan of that - please let me know if you go by other pen names on other blogs. i find this kind of a dishonest practice & a little alarming. also block-evading in general; zero reason for it. don't do it pls

ㅤpersonalityㅤㅤprimarily based off of his depiction in mgsv - kazuhira is a man internally struggling with budding feelings of rage & betrayal. he's a complicated man; a man who is warm-hearted and fun at his best, hot-headed & aggressive at his worst.
a victim of torture, he is missing his right arm and left leg (though he wears a prosthetic for his leg). having had cataracts since he were a child - his vision has only worsened throughout the years. despite it, he doesn't allow any disability hinder him. preferring to live with the pain & hardship as an ode to the the dead.

ㅤbiographyㅤㅤthe child of a japanese mother and american father - kazuhira was the result of a military man falling for a prostitute. raised alone by his mother, the child was regularly bullied for his features; blonde hair and greyish-blue eyes (cataracts) & found himself more connected to an american heritage he knew hardly anything about than his japanese upbringing.
when his mother fell ill, he began to actively look for his father - finding out that the man was a well-respected colonel of the american military.
educated in america, kaz returned to japan as a means of reconnecting with his mother - only to find her so sick, she had entirely forgotten her son. as a means of making money to aid her; he began to work for the japanese self defence forces.
despite thriving as a police officer, kaz found himself stuck. lost and unsure of what to do - he returned to america, only to find out that his father had committed suicide. not long after this, his mother passed, too. leading kaz to live a life as a mercenary drifter - enjoying his freedom with no real sense of direction.

this all changed when he met big boss & the two began to work side by side in the MSF ( a private military company ). entirely enthralled and impressed by big boss; miller would follow him to the ends of the earth. of course, this all changed when the events of mgsv happen. a betrayal leading to the destruction of msf & the formation of diamond dogs. from here on (and from where i play him) - miller is bitter and angry. a man who has long since discarded his once happy-go-lucky nature.

a lot of this biography will be headcanon based.once a boxing champion - volgin had always been the sort to rely on his strength to get him by. his father a powerful military leader, he had hoped to either follow in his footsteps or one day overthrow him.unfortunately for volgin, his father had other plans - enrolling his son in an experimental testing facility for high-grade military weapons. the experiments resulted in volgin being able to channel electricity through his flesh and blood. though this made him incredibly powerful and extremely useful to the military - the electricity is not entirely controlled, resulting in the massive amount of scarring across his body.angry and sadistic as a result of his experimentation, volgin became a brutal weapon for the russian military - taking part in the slaughter of others with a smile on his face. exacting his pain upon others, a joy.

having learnt of his fathers connection to the philosopher's legacy, volgin went out of his way to murder the man for it. a murder one part inspired by a lust for power and another part, revenge.having ownership of the legacy would see volgin the enemy of many - with many taking stance beside him as spies in order to get their hands on it. after doing battle with big boss & EVA; volgin is recorded as 'dead'. this is, however, false and he was actually rendered comatose as a result of this fight. unable to fight back, he was once again experimented on. arising once more as 'the man on fire'.

when an injury & trauma he could not deal with made him develop severe ptsd, he began to go off of the rails - becoming obsessed with the idea of being 'all-powerful.'

my canon takes from both original re4 & remakea successful soldier, krauser thrived in battle - discontent & bemused enough by 'ordinary life' as to work as a mercenary in his downtime. he was the sort who could never switch off from the thrill of a fight.mixing both the original & remake's canon - krauser worked as both a mentor and comrade to leon s kennedy, assisting the young agent in honing in skills whilst also partnering alongside him for operation javier.during the operation, many of krauser's men perished & he himself sustained a career ending arm injury. their resulting efforts were swept under the rug by the american government & krauser, weakened & no long able to fight - became resentful & obsessed with power.having seen what a virus could do & the power it could give a man - krauser began to keep himself ready & 'in-the-know' for any opportunities that could arise & bring power his way. it was with this mindset, he came across albert wesker.

a member of the rpd - kaz was a well-respected and hard working cop. a man with a good heart and fun-loving nature, he put his all into being a decent cop.however, when the city was overrun with monsters & the undead; he found himself battling something entirely out of his grasp. and though he ultimately survived the events of raccoon city, he didn't come out unscathed - his injuries consistent with his injuries in mgs.now, consumed with anger for umbrella and bioweapons; kaz works as a survival instructor and intel manager for the bsaa. providing aid to any who fights bioweapons.

'hellmaster miller' as he's so affectionally named resides in alaska with his teenaged daughter and his huskies. providing aid and intel to those in the field who need it.old and grizzled, he has since calmed down from his earlier anger but, a heat still resides. it forever will.

volgin is in his 70s.
has an otherwordly presence / is more of a ghost.

as the 'man on fire', volgin takes on the look of a demon to some and a normal ( but heavily scarred ) man to others.in this verse, he is full of rage and sadness. rejected by everything he once knew, he wonders like a ghost - searching for purpose in revenge.

former russian military, volgin began working for the ubcs around the time of the raccoon city incident. initially 'one of the good guys' - when the shit hit the fan, he primarily looked out for himself.ultimately, this led to his 'demise' and though he survived the events of the city; he wasn't left without injury, having been caught in an explosion and knocked unconscious, finding himself awakening in the clutches of scientists. another experiment / bow to be made of him.
